Who am I even?

Holiday is so close i can smell it. Tomorrow I put my ass on a flight to Sweden for some serious chill time in the forest.

But first summer party in Paris. Cause I’m a globetrotting ninja.
BloggerImage
Said goodbye to my doggie yesterday. He was not happy when I started packing, he knows exactly what that means. So he mopes around and gives me the stinky eye.
BloggerImage
Conal came over and told me some stories from the rich and the famous. Nothing makes me feel older and more boring than hearing the stories from a genius but crazy 21 year old touring the world with famous people.
But sofa life with doggie is cool. (The worst is that I’m now officially mature enough to not even get jealous.)
How the mighty have fallen…
BloggerImage
Early morning train to Paris. Slept all the way. Snoring next to my colleague. A win for her. Leaving mid day tomorrow to catch my flight to Sweden. Easy.

‘Only’ 13 days to I get to see this wolverine heroesque man again. That will be hard. Since im sappy and miss him kind of always. So I put together a countdown. To survive.
What have I become?

Midsummer shenanigans continued

Ok, I feel ready to share the rest of the midsummer weekend now.

BloggerImage
I woke up on Saturday feeling fresh as a daisy…
Ish.
It was a struggle to pull myself together but a woman’s got to do what a woman’s got to do.
BloggerImage
With heaps of make up and a shower I was ready to get to Hyde park and celebrate with the rest of the London swedes.
BloggerImage
Met this guy in a very busy park.
BloggerImage
Feeling a bit weak, shaky and fragile I drifted from group to group of people waiting for katta to join me. She came 3 hours late. That was a lot of drifting.
BloggerImage
After snaps and ready made GT to get myself in shape again both katta and George showed up and we went to a house party running into our crew from the night before.
BloggerImage
No party is boring with these two heroes
BloggerImage
By 3 I was done and dusted. There is only that much midsummer partying that can be done before it’s time to give up.
BloggerImage
Got home, fed myself, was massively annoying so my poor boyfriend felt the need to drown me out by reading a book. You snooze you lose.
So that was it. First midsummer not in Sweden. All in all a success but I do miss my never ending daylight and the smell of midsummer sweden.

A very London midsummer

Midsummer in London was as fun, drunken, flowery and filled with swede food as in Sweden. But with better weather. Win.

BloggerImage
Katta and me had a lovely day with mani pedis and then lunch in sun before heading to hers for some wreath binding.
This looks like I’m better at it than I am…
BloggerImage
Interesting shape
BloggerImage
George showed up and katta and him had a wreath off.
BloggerImage
I think we are all super cute midsummer winners (this is before we became super drunk midsummer winners)
BloggerImage
We went to Lisa’s for a full on midsummer extravaganza. There was pickled herring. And meatballs. And snaps…
BloggerImage
So much snaps…
BloggerImage
After more shots and drinks at Lisa’s we went to katta for mellanfest.
Unfortunately we had an unlucky incident with some bastard kids throwing rocks at us breaking her front door window.
After speaking to the police we headed to a nightclub. As you do. Never stop the party.
BloggerImage
Everything is a bit hazy from here
BloggerImage
And at 4 George put us all in a cab back home.
BloggerImage
Awesome night though
Not so much the next morning when I had to wake up for round two. But I’ll do that one in the next post.

Yet another picnic

It’s a bit cooler today and tomorrow it’s midsummer! Bring on the snaps. We won’t be dying in 33 but also not freezing our bits of in 10 which is Swedish standard.

Winning! George has got both tomorrow and Saturday night off so tomorrow night is swede dinner at Lisa’s and on Saturday picnic in Hyde park. A two nighter. My old bones can’t do that any longer..
BloggerImage
Yesterday not so busy at work Di worked from ‘home’ in the afternoon and went to the park with W.
BloggerImage
We were both almost dying in the heat. W mostly rolling around in her grass in various stages of passed out and me more or less the same to be honest.
BloggerImage
Looking way to fresh.
BloggerImage
In the evening met with maria and Charlie down at the river for yet another picnic. I’m on a roll! We had some ciders and strolled home when the sun went down around 10.
BloggerImage
Chillin at home tonight before the crazy of the weekend starts tomorrow. Have the day off so the plan is to sleep in tomorrow morning.

Summer times

London is still boiling. It’s meant to reach 33 today. I’m loving it. Most of the time. Not when the tube is still closed due to the fire and I have to walk an hour to pick up W in a sweltering city (boohoo, poor me)

BloggerImage
During the walk up I passed by the angry crowds at Latimer Road. Not scary angry, just angry. Rightfully so.
This was a lovely installation outside Oliver’s studio. 24 hearts for 24 floors.
BloggerImage
After picking up mini woof I gathered my family and we went to the park. Re using the food from the last days picnics. 4 days in a row…winning at picnics at the moment.
BloggerImage
Tired hairy heroes. Still more than 25 degrees out so snoozing on the grass.
BloggerImage
As I said, loving the weather. We read for a bit and me and Woolly were playing with an old bottle. Mondaying.
BloggerImage
Walking home through summer London feeling pretty content.
Life. Not too bad at the moment.
Then George snored like a band saw last night so me and Woolly fled to the sofa before he sheepishly came and picked me up around 6 this morning. You win some you lose some.

Clear blue skies and never ending picnics

What a weekend. 30 degrees and never ending blue skies. Come Friday I decided I have to stop worrying about my city and enjoy it instead.

So I did.
BloggerImage
Never ending picnics. On Friday me and katta sat by the river until 11 when the sun finally started to set.
BloggerImage
We ate everything. The first proper picnic and 4 cheeses are needed.
BloggerImage
And sent sad pictures to Eric because we didn’t want to go out and drink. So we didn’t.
BloggerImage
On Saturday I sat in our window waiting for George to wake up. Protected my skin with a hat. Because scandi.
BloggerImage
We headed for picnic in Hyde park with a mix of people. I had to hide in the shadow with Woolly since it’s too hot for him in the sun.
BloggerImage
It got later and stole some of the last rays
BloggerImage
Before heading to meat liquor in Queensway for picklebacks and awesome amounts of food.
BloggerImage
Because sun I got really drunk. From one shot. So I decided I needed to go home.
BloggerImage
This little dude was not unhappy about that.
BloggerImage
Our plan was to go to the beach on Sunday but due to a bike ride the trains were full so we slept in instead
BloggerImage
And headed to the Heath for sun and more park chill time.
BloggerImage
Bella and Alex came and joined us. Alec had lost a bet and had to wear this hat all day. George loved it. Always a kid.
BloggerImage
5 hours of almost melting in the shadow.
BloggerImage
Before going home to die.
It was one of those hot, clammy nights when you can barely sleep. Not even Woolly tried to join us in bed.
BloggerImage
Melting today as well. We are going for yet another picnic tonight. Have to use the city when it’s this lovely out. It won’t last.

Have a good weekend everyone

Sunny Friday i London, its supposed to be 25+ this weekend so we are planning picnics and the beach to use this one day of English summer.

BloggerImage
Had picnic with George on the green next to work for lunch and only a couple of more hours before weekend…
Yesterday picked up W at the studio. Filled with reporters and the air smelling of burnt plastic. Eerie.
BloggerImage
I felt bad taking a picture but I also felt like I needed to. To not forget. I don’t know how to feel about all of this to be honest.
BloggerImage
It’s hard to forget this view. Ever.
Tonight katta and me are having a quiet one. We’ll have a picnic and not drink. Needed. Especially since it’s midsummer next weekend. Our livers will appreciate the break.
